How Swap-BTC.io Works

Swap-BTC.io is a crypto-to-crypto exchange service built around Bitcoin. Choose the BTC amount you want to send, select the cryptocurrency you want to receive, review the current quote and order conditions, then receive the exchanged funds directly to the destination wallet entered for the order.

The service supports 183+ cryptocurrencies across 41+ blockchain networks. Standard eligible swaps can be created without conventional account registration, while fixed and floating rate modes are available depending on the selected exchange.

1. Choose the BTC Amount and Destination

Start by selecting Bitcoin as the source asset and the cryptocurrency you want to receive. Swap-BTC.io provides dedicated exchange options for BTC to USDT, XMR, ETH and USDC, including popular amount pages for 0.01 BTC, 0.1 BTC and 0.5 BTC.

You can also enter another supported amount in the exchange form. The current minimum starts at about $14 equivalent, although the available minimum can depend on the selected exchange and current conditions.

2. Check the Current Exchange Quote

Before sending Bitcoin, review the amount you are exchanging, the estimated destination amount and the available rate mode. The live quote reflects the current exchange conditions rather than a permanently fixed BTC conversion value.

Swap-BTC.io supports fixed and floating rates where available. A fixed-rate quote can remain valid for up to 11 minutes under the applicable order conditions. The service fee range is 0.27%–1.32%.

3. Enter the Destination Wallet

Provide the wallet address where you want to receive the exchanged cryptocurrency. The destination must match the asset and blockchain selected in the order.

This is especially important for assets such as USDT and USDC that can be available on multiple networks. Use a receiving wallet that supports the exact payout network shown for the exchange.

4. Send Bitcoin to the Order Address

After checking the order details, send the required BTC amount to the Bitcoin deposit address generated for the transaction. Use the deposit details associated with that order rather than sending funds to the destination wallet.

The Bitcoin transaction must receive the confirmations required for the exchange before service processing can continue. Confirmation time depends on the Bitcoin network and is separate from the service-processing time.

5. Exchange Processing

Once the required confirmations are reached, Swap-BTC.io processes the crypto-to-crypto exchange according to the order conditions. Typical service processing takes 8–17 minutes after the required confirmations.

For a floating-rate order, the applicable calculation follows the exchange conditions for that transaction. For a fixed-rate order, the quoted conditions apply when the payment requirements and quote window are met.

6. Receive Crypto in Your Wallet

After the exchange is completed, the destination cryptocurrency is sent directly to the wallet address entered for the order. There is no ongoing trading balance required for the standard exchange flow.

Check the destination wallet and selected network when reviewing the order. For stablecoins, the network is part of the payout details and should match the receiving wallet.

Before You Send BTC

Review the key transaction details before funding an order:

  • BTC amount and Bitcoin deposit details;
  • destination cryptocurrency;
  • destination wallet address;
  • payout network where applicable;
  • estimated receive amount;
  • fixed or floating rate mode;
  • current order conditions.

If an order requires support, keep the order identifier and transaction details available. Never share a wallet seed phrase or private key when discussing an exchange.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a crypto swap work?

A crypto swap converts one supported cryptocurrency into another. On Swap-BTC.io, you create an order, review the quote, send BTC to the generated deposit details and receive the selected cryptocurrency at the destination wallet after the exchange is processed.

Do I need an exchange account to swap Bitcoin?

Standard eligible crypto-to-crypto swaps do not require conventional account registration. The order itself contains the information needed to process the selected exchange.

How long does a Bitcoin exchange take?

Typical service processing takes 8–17 minutes after the required confirmations. The time needed for Bitcoin network confirmations can vary separately.

What is the difference between a wallet and an exchange?

A wallet is used to hold and manage blockchain assets and addresses. Swap-BTC.io performs the conversion for an order and sends the result to the destination wallet entered for that exchange.

Can I exchange Bitcoin for real money?

Swap-BTC.io is structured around supported crypto-to-crypto exchanges. The available destination assets and networks are shown in the exchange interface.
